It’s been a busy few weeks for Catesby Projects, as we’ve attended several industry exhibitions.
Last week Jon Paton, Group Leader for Catesby Projects attended the World Motorsport Symposium, hosted at the Swiss Embassy in London. The event theme this year was around Sustainable Motorsport, from Race to Road. Over two days there was some really interesting presentations and debates, with a wide variety of talks on powertrain technologies, e-fuels and aerodynamic discussion.
“The talks from the FIA and Nascar were particularly interesting to me, highlighting the steps the governing bodies are going to ensure close racing.” Jon Paton, Group Leader Catesby Projects.
On the Thursday Night, Rob Lewis and Catesby Tunnel were nominated for ‘Aerodynamicist of the Year’ at the Awards Dinner. Unfortunately, the tunnel didn’t come home with the award, which went to McMurtry Automotive for their Speirling car, but it was still an honour to have been nominated.

“The opportunity to network with high profile decision makers is invaluable and we look forward to working with both new and old contacts in the coming year.”

The week before, Emmanouel Tzevelekakis from our Design & Visualisation team attended KeyShot World 2022, also in London. The event provided great insight into KeyShot’s latest features and future developments followed by a series of presentations from product, transport and visualisation industry professionals. It is always a pleasure for us to learn as a company and mix with industry experts.
“For Catesby Projects, Keyshot is a powerful tool that enhances our aerodynamic visualisation and animation capabilities, producing stunning renderings for us and our customers. The conference was a great opportunity to see in person, all the amazing features the newest software version brings.” Emmanouel Tzevelekakis, Creative Designer Catesby Projects
Most recently Jon Paton attended the Advanced Propulsion Centre’s Future of Technology Series. The event on 7th December focused on autonomous vehicles. The series brings together key industry figures and leading academics to discuss, debate and challenge the way we think about a wide range of innovations.
We look forward to attending more events in the future!
